Development Status and Prospects of Drift Bead Material Market

China Floating Bead Material Market Development Research Report

Coal-fired power plants mostly grind coal into pulverized coal, spray it into the hearth of a power-generating boiler, and allow it to ignite and burn. The combustible components of coal (charcoal and organic matter) are mostly burned, while the clay-based non-combustible components (silicon, aluminum, iron, magnesium, etc.) begin to melt at furnace temperatures of 1300°C, forming quartz glass and mullite porous symbionts. The hole is full of gas. When the temperature of the furnace reaches 1400 degrees Celsius, the surface tension of the molten particles will cause the surface energy to drop to the lowest value, and the angularity will be relieved by the surface energy, and the molten particles will float to form a sphere. At this time, gases such as CO, CO2, N2, H2, etc. in the porous body are entrapped in the ball. As the furnace temperature continues to rise, the gas in the glass sphere expands, causing the sphere to increase and the shell thinning, forming a hollow sphere. When the hollow sphere leaves the furnace and cools rapidly, it becomes a hard-shell glass bead. These glass beads can be divided into two types because of their different wall thicknesses and light weights. One type is a thin-walled hollow sphere ( thickness is one-tenth of the diameter ). Because it can float on water, it is called "drift beads."  The other type is a hollow thick wall (thickness is one third of the diameter) and a solid sphere, which is heavier and sinks to the bottom of the water, so it is called “Shenzhu: high-iron content is called “magnetic beads.” The drift beads referred to are the first category.

Hollow microspheres:  hollow inorganic non-metallic glass spheres;

Drifting beads:  (can be floated on the surface of the water, the specific gravity is less than 1 and the wall thickness is one-tenth of the diameter);

Shen Zhu:  (Sink on the surface of the water, the specific gravity is greater than 1, and the wall thickness is one-third of the diameter).

After several investigations, we consulted a lot of experts and thought that the classification of floating beads was difficult to distinguish, or that there was no clear classification in China. Therefore, in order to better define the beads, we classify the beads according to the fly ash.
